Enjoying Seasonal Views and Traditional Flavors in an Open Space
A long-established Japanese confectionery with a "one-of-a-kind" presence, continuing to make wagashi for over five centuries. Purveyors to the Imperial Palace since the reign of Emperor Goyozei (1586-1611), the brand expanded to Tokyo in 1869 and has been located at its current site since 1964. The beautiful tearoom, which borrows the greenery of the Akasaka Imperial Grounds as background scenery, offers sweets such as oshiruko and anmitsu. With a gallery and shop attached, visitors can immerse themselves in the splendid world of wagashi.
