“CONFECTIONERY” Award
A Masterpiece Continually Protected by Kyoto's Oldest Western Confectionery Store
A Western confectionery store nestled in Teramachi Nijo, Kyoto, founded in 1907 (Meiji 40). The main store, which retains traces of the Meiji and Taisho eras, is a masterpiece of architecture where every luxury of the time was exhausted, featuring a wooden Western-style building in the front and a traditional Japanese building in the back. The cookies that protect the traditional taste are a masterpiece that makes you feel a timeless "Craftsmanship." "Kozubukuro," a Kishu mandarin orange sweet passed down since the late Taisho era, also captivates many fans including Shotaro Ikenami.
