The Pinnacle of Uji Matcha Transcending Time
A tea garden protecting the Honzu cultivation method, which has been inherited for over 400 years in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture, the hometown of fine tea. Currently headed by the 6th generation Jintaro Yamamoto, the tea plants are cultivated over a year by shading them from the sun using reeds and straw. The carefully hand-picked Tencha has a "One and Only" flavor that is mellow with rich umami and sweetness. The store is a national Important Cultural Property, and tea lectures and tasting experience tours led by the head of the garden are also held.
