Kinzangama / Gallery Mutan

From the "Ukiyo" series, named in sympathy with the thoughts of ancient people who wanted to admire the moon and flowers, sing songs, and live a carefree life without worrying even if they became penniless.

Works Lined Up in the Solemn Space of a Stone Chamber

Gallery Mutan, where the works of "Kinzangama," a kiln founded in 1906 that has continued for four generations in Komatsu, are gathered in one place. The building, which illuminates the interior solely with natural light from a top light, was created by designer Shinichiro Ogata. The soft color tones are beautiful, with Noto Nigyo washi paper pasted on the ceiling and local Kanagaso stone used for the stone materials. All works can be purchased or ordered, and workshop tours are also possible.
