TEA
A Long-Established Shop that Elevated the Popular "Hojicha" to an Imperial Offering Tea
Bocha is roasted from selected stem parts, not tea leaves. As "stem hojicha," it has been drunk by people on a daily basis. Maruhachi Seichajo was requested to prepare hojicha for Emperor Showa when he visited Ishikawa Prefecture in 1983. "Kenjo Kaga Bocha," born after repeated trial and error, continues to produce "everyday high quality" even after more than 40 years. At the directly managed store attached to the head office, you can taste tea and sweets brewed by professionals.
