An Inn of Famous Architecture Overlooking the Scenery of a Water Basin and Pine Forest
The predecessor of the inn standing in a corner of the scenic spot Senbon Matsubara is "Shoantei," built by a person of refined taste in the Taisho era. In front of the accommodation building, where contrasting elements of Japanese and Western, classic and modern harmonize, there is a water basin where the underground water of Mt. Fuji springs out, and the scenery of the water surface delights the eyes. In 2023, it restarted as a project to pass on the cultural property that Numazu is proud of to the next generation. The Tangible Cultural Property tea pavilion was renewed as a modern Chinese restaurant.
