A One-and-Only Vessel Pursuing Expression While Protecting and Inheriting Tradition

The fourth generation, Shinji Terauchi, pursues new expressions unswayed by the times while protecting and inheriting the tradition of Arita ware. The novel pearl-shaped tiered box (jubako) unique to Riso Porcelain has its mold designed with computer 3D software and cut with a modeling machine. By fully utilizing digital technology, they completed a sphere, which was considered difficult to make with porcelain. They continue to challenge new value while inheriting tradition.
