The One and Only Japanese Jewelry Creating a New Culture

The jewelry brand born in 2011 rebranded as "MIO HARUTAKA" upon its overseas expansion in 2018. It develops collections expressing unique and dynamic designs with motifs of animals and plants, emphasizing realism, using rare natural precious stones. It takes a long time to create, with details such as settings that allow petal pieces to move, and meticulous attention so that even the back side looks beautiful. In addition, to create an environment where everyone involved can work happily, they conducted a site visit to the village of Weaju in Liberia, West Africa. They support the improvement of the working environment and social status of workers involved in diamond mining and manufacturing, and also work on traceability to maintain transparency. Designer Mio Harutaka says, "Jewelry shines eternally and possesses a beauty that remains unchanged over time. I want to create a new culture, keeping in mind the craftsmanship that will remain in the future." She broadcasts jewelry harboring Japanese aesthetics to the world.
