At the Miyagikyo Distillery in Miyagi Prefecture, blessed with a cool yet mild climate, they produce whisky characterized by a gorgeous aroma and soft taste. Distillery tours are held at each location, where you can learn about the company's history, philosophy, and whisky manufacturing methods. The drying towers and distillation buildings, designated as Important Cultural Properties by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, are still in active use. The visit to the tasting bar at the end of the tour is also attractive.
