Supreme Whisky Inheriting the Spirit of the "Father of Japanese Whisky"
I want Japanese people to drink real whisky. Inheriting the "Craftsmanship" of founder Masataka Taketsuru, artisans use their skills to produce whisky. The company has two distilleries blessed with northern nature, such as cold climates, moderate humidity, clear air, and high-quality abundant water. In Yoichi, Hokkaido, a climate similar to Scotland produces a profound and powerful whisky. At the Miyagikyo Distillery in Miyagi Prefecture, blessed with a cool yet mild climate, they produce whisky characterized by a gorgeous aroma and soft taste. Distillery tours are held at each location, where you can learn about the company's history, philosophy, and whisky manufacturing methods. The drying towers and distillation buildings, designated as Important Cultural Properties by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, are still in active use. The visit to the tasting bar at the end of the tour is also attractive.
