Broadcasting Fukui and Hokuriku Culture Centered on the Nature of the Kuzuryu River and Sake

ESHIKOTO, opened in Eiheiji Town, Fukui Prefecture in June 2022, is a facility opened by Ishidaya Nizaemon, which owns Kokuryu Sake Brewing, as a "place to convey the culture of Hokuriku centered on Fukui with sake as the core." ESHI means "good" in an old word, and ESHIKOTO means "good thing," including the meaning of "a good thing that lasts forever" with Tokoshie (eternity) read backwards. On the premises, there is the "Shuraku Building" containing a shop selling Kokuryu Sake Brewing's sake and a restaurant, and the "Garyu Building" (closed to the public) housing the storage cellar for ESHIKOTO AWA. Natural materials from Fukui such as Shakudani stone and Miyama cedar are used abundantly, making it comfortable. They broadcast culture while evolving for eternity.
