Sori Yanagi's Masterpiece Chair Splendidly Reproduced with Outstanding Technology

Hida Sangyo reproduced the "Yanagi Chair" in 2007, which was designed by Sori Yanagi, a leading industrial designer in Japan, and released in 1978. For the backrest to the armrests, it uses "Ippon-mageki" (single bentwood), which is highly difficult and completed by advanced wood-bending technology. In addition, with the seat boards carefully turned one by one by artisans using a hand lathe, they completed the "Yanagi Chair" by fully utilizing Hida Sangyo's unique technology without destroying the original shape.
