BYAKU Narai

The main building "Toshiyoshiya," renovated from "Suginomori Brewery," a sake brewery founded in 1793. An exterior where traditional fine latticework is left in almost its original form. A splendid cedar ball is the landmark.

Hundreds of Stories Dwelling in the Region Known in Japan's Longest Post Town

Narai-juku was the most bustling post town on the Nakasendo in Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture. "BYAKU Narai," which inherits that history, is an inn renovated from an approximately 200-year-old traditional folk house. While utilizing traditional building materials, it is equipped with modern comfort and conveys hundreds of stories sleeping in the region, such as lacquerware and water places. What you can experience in a space that carefully regenerates the climate of the land is an "extraordinary everyday" time that is slightly richer than everyday life. Its charm is that you can taste the vitality of the former post town and the accumulated time with all five senses.
