A Challenge to Connect the World Beyond the Bounds of Aviation
"Challenge" is in ANA's DNA. Its predecessor, Japan Helicopter Transport, was founded in 1952 with 28 people and two helicopters. The initials "NH" remain in flight codes to this day — a reminder of that origin. The startup spirit carried since founding has taken shape in the in-house business proposal program "Da Vinci Camp," which brought to life the hospitality AI robot "newme," enabling a teleportation service. ANA even embraces challenges that could shake its own core business. This mindset of disruptive innovation drives the company forward. Now ANA aims to realize the "air taxi" — an ambition to redraw the portfolio of the skies.
