Founded in 1868 in Ichikawamisato Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan's largest production area for shoji paper. They have also announced innovative products such as the industry's first color shoji paper and thread washi, where threads are sandwiched between washi. Developed to fit modern lifestyles, "Ito Rakusui" is a modern shoji that can be easily applied with water, made only of washi and thread, which can be said to be the crystallization of papermaking technology. It gently blocks light with irregular shades and transparency. Its ease of handling is also appealing, as it can be easily peeled off by wetting it with water and cut into any shape with scissors.
