One-and-Only Beauty Embodying the New Possibilities of Lacquer

The third generation, Keikou Nishimura, has released works pursuing new possibilities for lacquerware while following and further refining the inherited techniques of a lacquer painter. The organic shape of "Tawame" is one of them. The universally shaped vessels of "tenun," supervised by Yoko Nishimura and eyeing a use that leads to modern times, are also attractive. True craftsmanship dwells in the beauty of lacquerware born from an inquisitive mind and skilled techniques.
