A Long-Established Shop Transmitting Wagashi Culture that Soothes the Heart with Traditional Tastes

A long-established shop that has been making wagashi (Japanese sweets) for five centuries since its founding in Kyoto in the late Muromachi period. From the reign of Emperor Goyozei (1586-1611) to the present day, it is known as a confectionery shop serving the Imperial Palace. In 1879, it opened a store in Akasaka, Tokyo, and moved to its current location in 1964. In addition to a shop and gallery, the tea room on the 3rd floor offers sweets and lunches that come with seasonal fresh confections. Drop by casually to enjoy "everyday high quality."
